High Density Polyethylene Pipe

Blue Diamond manufactures High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) Innerduct and Conduit used to protect and house fiber optic cable for the Electrical, Power, Telecommunications and CATV industries.

Blue Diamond offers a wide range of products in sizes ½" through 6" in a variety of colors and striping combinations as well as tracer wire and aerial duct.  We also offer options for pre-lubrication, pre-installed pull tape and installed cable in conduit.

Blue Diamond is RUS/USDA listed and meets all ASTM specs for SDR, SIDR and NEMA rated duct. Blue Diamond HDPE is also available  UL listed to UL 651 ideal for the protection of cable and wires.

HDPE Innerduct / HDPE Duct Types

	Smooth Wall HDPE Innerduct Smooth wall is the standard High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Duct. The interior of smooth wall has a glass-like finish which delivers the lowest coefficient of friction of all available non-lubricated innerducts. Blue Diamond smooth wall innerduct is a durable high quality product for direct burial applications.
	Ribbed Wall HDPE Innerduct Blue Diamond’s ribbed wall innerduct is designed to allow extremely long cable pulls to glide through the interior raised ribs. All ribbed wall innerduct is internally ribbed and available in most SDR and SIDR ratings.
	Tracer Wire HDPE Innerduct Tracer wire innerduct provide a method of locating underground fiber optic cable. The tracer wire is a bare single copper wire gauge co-extruded onto the exterior of the innerduct providing a corrosion resistant conductor. Standard wire is 18 gauge. Other options are available upon request. An alternative method of locating buried fiber optic cable is to use detectable tape, available pre-installed in any of our duct products.
	Figure 8 HDPE Duct Blue Diamond’s figure 8 innerduct features a high tensile galvanized support strand for aerial placement of duct. The support strand is an integral component of the co-extruded duct.
	Cable in Conduit (CIC) Blue Diamond will install customer supplied cable or cable supplied by BDI upon request.  Contact BDI with specifications on the cable to discuss the appropriate size duct.  Cable can be installed in any duct in most footage lengths.

HDPE Innerduct Colors and Identification

• Standard colors available in: white, black, blue, green, red, orange, lilac, grey, yellow, brown, buff, terra cotta.

• Striping: Striping combinations are available in all colors in combinations of single, double, triple and quad stripes.

HDPE Innerduct Other Identification

• Innerduct size, SDR and sequential footage markings every 2’ are laser imprinted on every order.

• Custom imprints such as company name, project name or any other special identification markings also available.

HDPE Innerduct Options

• Lubrication

• Up to four lengths/colors of innerduct per reel available laid in parallel or segmented on a reel.

• Pre-installed pull tape, tracer tape.

• Option to pre-install cable supplied by the customer or purchased by Blue Diamond into certain duct sizes. Please call Blue Diamond for a quote on your specifications.

High Density PE 3408 Innerduct and Conduit

PE 3408 is a high density extra high molecular weight pressure piping system used for intermittent, low pressure industrial applications, gravity flow or watertight applications, environmental applications, mining applications and drainage applications.
