Blue Diamond Industries Gains Eastern States Consortium (ESC) Approval

Blue Diamond’s Corrugated HDPE Pipe facility in North Carolina has been qualified to supply state Department of Transportations (DOT) in the northeastern states materials for state highway construction projects.  The ESC is a group of participating states formed to establish minimum requirements for the quality control, manufacture and testing of corrugated HDPE pipe.  The states benefit through cooperative inspection and qualification procedures.  Manufacturers benefit by having one uniform set of requirements to follow.  Member states of ESC are CT, DE, DC, ME, MD, MA, NC, NH, NJ, PA, RI, VT, VA.

BDI passed a rigorous Quality Control and Plant Audit on testing and procedures in able to gain the approval of ESC in January of 2007.  BDI is now qualified to supply its products on member states highway and maintenance projects.
